A review site for one thing: reaching a real human.

Star ratings tell you if a product is good. HoldForHuman tells you if the company behind it will pick up the phone.

The idea came from watching a guy sitting in an airport, panicking because his mother's flight was delayed and he couldn't get through to anyone on the phone who could help. One real human on the line would have fixed everything — but the company made that nearly impossible.

Every review scores a business on six factors that matter when something goes wrong and you need a person, not a script:

  • No bot wall
You reach a person without fighting a chatbot
  • Human on the phone
A person answers, not an endless IVR
  • Live chat is human
Chat connects you to a real agent, not a bot
  • Email speed
A named person replies in a reasonable time
  • Easy escalation
You can get to a supervisor or specialist when needed
  • Speed to reach someone
How quickly a real human is on the line — total wait, not just first ring

We aggregate factor scores into a single Human Score out of 10. Anyone with an account can add a business or rate one that's already listed.

The site is designed to guide consumer decisions for people who want a more human experience when things go wrong. It is also a way for businesses to understand what their customers are really asking for: not another chatbot loop, but a real person who can help.
